Sepember 2013 - An Event For "BEE 190's?"

Post by MichaelC »

2 August 2012 - 20:15 - I'll admit this is a tad early to post, but since I'm in the "working world", I need to plan these things pretty far in advance.

The first Saturday after Labor Day, the small village of Lithopolis, Ohio hosts a festival featuring honey and beekeeping. And, just south of Lithopolis, there is a recently-remodeled campground with an on-site lake. Well, I picked this event and venue for an RV rally I've entitled "Keep 'Em Buzzing." Unfortunately, my adopted home RV club already had a rally set for this September, so I had to settle for 5 through 8 September 2013. And, I couldn't resist telling the festival organizers that I and my "type BEE" motorhome were hosting the rally.

You can see what all the "buzz" is about at "www dot lithopolishoneyfest dot com" (sorry about the bee puns!). Of course, I'll keep the Enthusiasts appraised as the time approaches.

Hello again, Enthusiasts!

Some pipeline workers have booked up a bunch of campsites in southeastern Ohio, so I've made a small adjustment for the "Keep 'Em Buzzing" Rally. There is now a two-part Rally: here's how it will work out.

This coming September (2013), "Keep 'Em Buzzing PART 1" will take place at Indian Lake State Park campground in Logan County, Ohio (east of US Route 33 between Wapakoneta and Bellefontaine) from Thursday 12 September to Monday 16 September. There will be a tournament of the 1950's dexterity / maze game "Tickle Bee", a fun quiz on quirky Ohio place names, a potluck dinner and a pizza party.

Then, in September 2014, with the pipeline workers gone, the Lithopolis Honeyfest will be the site for "Keep 'Em Buzzing PART 2!". Yet another "Tickle Bee Tournament" with the two top players from 2013 meeting 2014's top players for the Grand Championship. And once that's done, the Tickle Bee games will be donated to the pediatric units at two local hospitals.

Details online at ohionomads dot com - reservations for Indian Lake campsites online at "dnr dot state dot oh dot us", or by phone to 937.843.3553 - mention "Ohio Nomads" and request sites in Area D to be closest to the Rally attendees.

Yet again, "Happy Cybercamping!"
