Hello everyone,
I have a 1997 B190 which may need attention to the genset carburetor. Are there rebuild kits for these or does Onan force you to replace the whole carburetor?

Thansk in advance.

My Genset consistently has problems with surging indicating a plugged up carb. At the moment it's inop and pulled from the camper. This problem has been a constant headache and caused more problems than anything else.. I was told it would be just as cost efficient to replace the carb rather than rebuild it. The problem seems to be sugar in the tank...i.e. ethanol. You could try some carb cleaner sprayed into the intake port if it's still running. These generators have problems burning ethanol and it clogs up the carbs. There are rebuild kits on the market but you'll find that they are conversion kits to modify the carbs to burn propane instead of gas/ethanol mix. I'm considering switching over to propane since the oven is on the same side of the van and a supply line in well within reach. That might just solve the problem
