B190 Enthusiasts

Hi All,
I just bought a B190 and can't get the generator to start. It started and ran, (but with an initial backfire), when I checked it out at LakeTahoe, (elevation 6000 ft.). I restarted it up there and ran it with AC on as well. It sputtered a bit periodically with AC on though up there. Now I've driven it down to sea level where I live and can't get it to start.
Does anyone have suggestions?

Update on the generator starting issue: There's an "altitude adjustment" dial under the carburator. I drove her from 6000 ft. down to 80 ft. where I live. Turned the dial to "0" and it started right up! There was also either previous or prospective rodent trying to set up house in the back of the gen housing... something to watch out for for everyone!
Ready to hit the dusty trail!! ...now "where to go"??
