Replacing built-in cord with extension cord...?

Electrical issues, both 12 volt and 120 volt

I made this little aluminum adapter plate for Mike and mailed it to him.

This will allow him to remove that existing round plastic piece out of the body and install that
newer style twist-Lock plug and cord, and cover the 3 holes from the original plastic part that is removed.

I think he will start a new thread in the Electrical forum here and show his installation...

Just finished this mod on my '92. I'm full-timing it right now and its my daily driver, so pushing and pulling that cord through the hole every morning and night got old fast. I got lucky as the new housing easily covered the old hole without a new adapter plate needing to be fabricated. Found the kit on eBay for $114
