House DC system mystery solved?

Hello all,

I just had a new house battery and new chassis battery installed a few days ago. House battery is a lead acid heavy duty (Interstate C50-XHD), the same as I had before. Now the positive wire at the DC distribution panel reads 11.34 (the battery itself reads 12.60). The lights (LED) are dimly lit and the vent fan will hardly move.

The battery has the original clamps. I tested the charge at the end of the positive clamp...bare wire. 11.34!

So the clamp is the problem, correct?

Sounds like it. I'd pull it off and hit it with the battery brush (sandpaper if you don't have one). Caution, it's lead, so don't lick it or anything like that.
