Second alternator

Post by PseudoDoc »

Hello my friends,

I have just recently become the owner of a B190, yay! I am at last one of you :) So here is my question, I want to install a lithium battery into the van and hook it up to the overall electrical. I plan to use a second alternator to charge this lithium battery, therefore I am asking if there are any mechanics here on the page or any DIY Kings and Queens who happen to have any information regarding this topic?

Cheers Mayan

Look into a dc-dc alternator charger setup.

Personally, I think you'd be better off just finding a high-amperage alternator instead of trying to squeeze in a second alternator.
