Additional house battery....

Post by Alaskan »

In the 97 and later B190's the house battery in located in the right-rear under a removable floor section...

The following is a modification I made to gain some additional capacity..

The removable floor section, I split it so the left side could be opened easily.

The battery box seen in the picture below is a marine product...as is the small battery switch....the battery box is bolted down, and wired in parallel directly to the house battery below it

Excuse my ignorance...

But I thought that batteries (other than AGM) need some type of venting to the outside of the rig.

What are your thoughts on this? Am I wrong?

No, that is correct. The outgassing can be dangerous.
