Flue Drop? Crossing into MX tomorrow

Post by Marko Polo »

Heya! Merry Christmas ya'll!

So I'm on a crazy adventure down the PanAm highway, just crossing into Mexico tomorrow. Checked and rechecked the van, hit the road. Today the fridge wouldn't get cold even though the flame was lit the whole time. Check on it to find this:

Sorry for poor photo - had to edit it 50 times to get the file size right. It looks like the flue has fallen down onto the thermocoupler, so the flame only gets the metal hot instead of actually heating the air inside of it.

Fridge is a norcold n300. How do I get that part back up to where it should be? Any good RV mechanics in Mexico (Monterrey/Laredo area)?

Thanks ya'll - Merry Christmas!
