Cleaning/replacing the air conditioner filters

Post by skater »

I wasn't able to locate original equipment replacement filters for my rooftop A/C, so I looked for an alternate. I found some vent filters that I was able to modify to work, though. I wrote up this article with pictures showing what I did.

(Okay so replacing them wasn't very hard or very imaginative. But, hey, someone might find it helpful. :) )

Just an update to this older thread. Times have changed... I purchased a pair of Dometic air filter replacements last year for $15 - either at Campers World.com or Posts Travel Land, my local Columbus RV store (SKU #9108553372; Serial #31799220). I have a '96 Bvan.

Ooops, bad link. It's okay - they didn't work that well and broke the frames anyway. Just order what Buckeye posted. :)

I was looking for these last fall and found them on ebay as well as a couple of other places. If any one is looking for them try ebay. Here is a link to some I found today.
