B190 Enthusiasts

Up until this week the furnace on our 1991 would fire up within seconds on the first cycle, warm the cabin, then shut off as it should. On the next cycle, the fan would turn back on but the gas would not ignite, producing only cold air. Thinking that the furnace was malfunctioning, we would simply shut off the furnace and try again to the same result: ignition on the first cycle then no ignition thereafter.

Last night we accidentally learned that the furnace does indeed ignite on ensuing cycles, but it takes up to 5 minutes of cold air before the re-ignition occurs. The furnace continued to run and produce heat in this fashion for the entire night. While it was nice to finally stay warm, does the inordinate wait time for the furnace to re-ignite signal a problem with the furnace that must be attended to?

There are really only a few things that go wrong with these. Make sure the sail switch is working correctly, but my guess is that you'll find it's the board.
