Rear Bump Stops

Post by Planck »

My 1993 came with Air Lift kits between the axle and frame. In order to install these, the bump stops were removed. As these are old I am considering removing them and installing the stabilizer bar that most seem to really like, and replacing the stock bump stops. Also, whoever installed the Air Lift kits did not reattach the bracket that uses the bump stop stud for securing the brake line that runs from front of van to the rear. This bracket was "dangeling" with just a tie rap holding it. Over time, the brake line broke and I lost all brakes. So far, searching the internet I have not been able to find stock bump stops. There are kits that work similarly to the Air Lift kits but don't need to be pressurized. I will check my local Ford dealer for replacement bump stops. Just wondering if any of you have messed with your bump stops.
