I recently read a post at the Class B forum of Good Sam. The writer tells of having a tire blow out while traveling around 50 MPH on a trip to Florida. The van rolled 1 ½ times and was destroyed.

That prompted the moderator to provide the following link. The videos are well worth viewing.

The Critical Factor

Wow, good advice and good videos. I would've let off the gas.

Summary of the Critical Factor: Floor it and steer to correct as necessary, then reduce speed once the rig is back under your control. And that's true for all vehicles.

The other video explains the weight rating of tires and the importance of weighing a camper and inspecting tires. Lots of good information in there; it's well worth the watch.

Stickying this thread - should be required watching for new campers!
