Brand of tires

I need to purchase new tires as the ones on my B190 are starting to crack. Are there any recommendations out there?

I just needed to replace the rear tires on mine. I had two Firestone Transforce HT tires on the front, so I went with those on the back as well. Got them on sale for just under $140ea. No complaints yet!

Hi there,
I have put 14,000 on a new set of Michelin LTX2s and could not be more happy. Yes, they are expensive, but I have a lot of tread life left and peace of mind every day on the road.

In general I like Michelin and have had very good success with them on several vehicles including a 1996 GMC Suburban that we use to tow our Airstream travel trailer. Michelins tend to be pricey but have a good reputation and long-life.
The B190 we purchased earlier this year has Firestone TransForce HT and they are relatively new (2011) so we'll plan to keep them for several years. If there was a need to replace the tires I would definitely replace them with Michelin - there are several Michelin models that are suitable so you may want to look at online reviews for feedback on road noise, etc.

I have a set of Coopers on mine that are rated for 50,000 miles and at three or four thousand miles a year they should be just fine. I have a set of Michelins on my Mazda Tribute that have over 100,000 miles on them and still have another 25K left on than so if your going to rack up the miles Michelins are a good choice but for occasional use just about any all season tire should do.

Tires on RVs rarely wear out due to mileage. Usually what happens is that they expire - tires are only good for 5 or 6 years before they rot out.
