Brake Rotors

Post by lv2roam »

At 126k miles replacing brake rotors for the second time. How often are others having to replace the rotors? Have not had good luck turning worn rotors - seems to last less than 10k, might as well just replace the rotors.

Well, keep in mind it's a heavy vehicle and thus the brakes are working hard. I didn't have mine long enough to really find out about longevity of brakes, but I do know I put new pads on it right after I got it, and pads only.

You are right. I checked and it has been 70,000 miles since the last rotors - and I do some towing. Just wondering if that is the norm for our vans or am I too tough on it?
