Meet up in Colorado anyone?

Post by Manzland »

I'm looking to organize a meet up in Colorado soon! Just wanted to put my feelers out there and see if anyone else would be interested.

Thanks,

Hi Manzland,
We had a nice CO gathering of 5 b190 vans back in September 2014 at the Whole Foods parking lot in Frisco with pics posted somewhere on this site. I'd like to join in the fun with my van if you organize it (assuming "girlz" are also allowed).

Keystone,

Thanks for the interest! Yes, girlz are allowed.. My wife is my travel partner :D

Do you know if there are a handful of CO b190 owners on this site?

Thanks!

Back in 2014, I knew of several CO vans on this site. But I haven't heard a peep from them, so I assume they've either dropped off the forum or sold their vehicles. This thread you've started, a call for interest in a meet up, should shake the locals loose and maybe round up a few passers through.

I'd be keen on a Colorado meet up! Living in Denver and just need enough of a heads up. Great idea!

Aww, we just traveled through Colorado. Would’ve been fun to stop at a meet up.

My dad and I were planning to take my trailer to Colorado in August, to see the Durango and Silverton Railroad. Unfortunately, the wildfires have put the kibosh on that plan. :( So, instead, we're heading north to Detroit, Mackinac, Green Bay, etc.

I am heading out on July 9th to Pagosa Springs, Co. and will be there till October 3rd. Anyone passing through we can have a coffee or stop at the brewery there.
On my way out, stopping to dip in Hot Springs in Arkansas, visit some family in Oklahoma and enjoy some cuisine in Sante Fe and Taos. Then will head northwest to Pagosa. A side trip to Capital Reef in Utah in August planned to hang with some campground hosts there we know from back home. The stars from that campground are spectacular they report!

I have AAA, Good Sam travel assist and Roadside assistance and the Progressive Insurance tow coverage just in case. Yes, that is a lot of redundancy and hope that means I will not need it. Will end up at the Balloon Fiesta in October 4010 with the Escapees RV group. Anybody traveling through these two areas, give me a shout and would love to meet a fellow B190 traveler.

I am very bummed that I missed a chance to catch up with you. This camper would not be in the condition it is in now without B190 enthusiasts help. Pagosa is not that far from Durango and we have been keeping an eye on the fires there.

Stay safe. I have to admit I hadn’t heard about the fires at all - I knew about the ones in California a few months back, but completely missed the news about Colorado. (Living in the DC area, our news is very much skewed toward politics.)

Our trip would have been a whirlwind tour - we were estimating four days of travel each direction, and I only have 10 consecutive days off work. As much fun as it would have been, I think the new trip will be better for our sanity. Hopefully we’ll get to do it in the future sometime.

Once I get the B190 fully operational, some longer road trips might be in order. :)

With the improvement in the situation in Colorado, we've switched back to that plan! We have reservations on the Durango & Silverton for Tuesday, August 21 (I think). I think we're bussing to Silverton, doing the mine tour, then coming back on the train.
