personalized license plate ideas for Van

Post by Jennifer »

Hi, I just took posession of my 91 B 190 and I am considering getting a personalized license plate for my new tags. Do any of you all have plates that reflect your passion for the van that you would like to share? i.e. "91 B190 FAN", "B190#1" I could use a few more ideas from you all because apparently you need 3 or 4 choices because a lot of times your ideal choice has already been taken. Thanks!

Hehe. I was considering getting 4THECAT for mine as a joke, because (a) I travel with my cat, and (b) I usually tow a Mercury Cougar with it. :) Never got around to it, though, and I didn't want people to think that I was a crazy cat person that bought a camper for his cat (not sure why I care, though). Plus it would've made NO sense at all when I was towing the Impala.

Here are some ideas off the top of my head...
ARSTRM B
BVAN #1

More as I think of them... :)

Thought of another one on the way home from work! It's cryptic...

AG B190

(Ag being the symbol for silver.) :)

Hey Skater, those are all good ideas. I probably would have been thinking a long time on the cryptic one to figure out what that meant.

I will let you know what I have decided on. Thanks!

I used PEANUTRV because the B190 is small and efficient and my wife's nickname is Peanut because of the same reasons.

personalized plates

Post by Jennifer »

LOL, Fredging, thats original!

I ended up getting standard plates (temporarily) until I can get online with DMV and upgrade. Unfortunately, my 10 year old dog Kali (german shepherd mix) died 5 days after I got the van and I was not motivated to handle van stuff, and then the holidays arrived, and then the first half of January I was having what I thought was battery issues, but it turned out to be a bad alternator. I finally got to drive the van Saturday and Monday and I am very impressed with it. I will post my decision on the plates (hopefully soon). Jennifer

personalized license plates

Post by Jennifer »

I finally got my personalized license plates and my first choice was available: B190FAN

By the way, my nickname for the van is "money pit," because I have spent close to $1,000.00 on repairs so far and I still see a bunch of stuff I would like to get done on it.

Anyways, I just recently spent the night in it (not hooked up to a plug in) and I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the couch-bed was. Also, the Air Conditioning runs nice and cold and the generator runs very quiet. I do "excercise" it regularly so I am sure that helps. I am planning on taking it to Bonnaroo for 4 days of dry camping in June and am looking forward to using it more!

Our friend from Alaska..

Its something Hawaiian...as thats where she was originally from

She was just getting ready to put them on her B190...in Alaska they are transferable from one rig to another

This is the 1996 B190 we got for her from ole member Joe in Florida

Well....for as couple years, when we see her, she has been chattering at me about the stars on her Alaska plates...she said that when she got those plates and put them on her old Bounder, quite some time ago now, the stars had been yellow.

I examined them closely and I didn't think so...until I went to the Alaska DMV website...she was right

So...I painted them, and she motored off to catch the ferry out of Alaska and to someplace warmer for the winter.. !

She turned 80 this summer and is still out everyday enjoying her B190 all over Alaska... !
