Saw my first Airstream Avenue

Post by Keystone »

Someone in Boulder already has the new Airstream Avenue, and I saw it driving around town this afternoon. Have to say, it looks kinda sleek. Will this site's members start jumping ship?

No danger for me any time soon--they're $100K each. Ouch!

I just looked at the intro page on Airstream's site. It is very nice looking. Packed with features and very "open" looking.
I have a tough time justifying the cost compared to what $100K will buy in a class C or A or even truck and trailer.
I suspect there is a market for it just like there was back in the '90's for the 190. I'm sure they were comapritively expensive then as the Avenue is today.

I believe it competes with the Roadtrek B vans, and they seem to be doing okay.

They are beautiful campers. If Erica and I weren't so busy, we'd probably head up to Colonial Airstream (in New Jersey) and check it out.

But we won't be buying one. :)
