Speaker Replacement Information

The rear speakers in my 1991 are 5x7s, which are a common Ford/Mazda size. Basically Airstream took the stock speakers and worked them in where they could find room.
I just replaced my two rear speakers with 3-way Pioneers that I picked up used from a guy in a car club I'm in. However, I ran into a little snag: the Pioneers are slightly deeper than the stock speakers, so the speaker sticks out a bit from the wall. The stock speaker did, too, but this one is a touch worse. The outside sheet metal of the van is behind the speaker, so there's not much you can do to increase the available depth. Fair warning for anyone considering this - get the lowest profile 5x7s you can find (I'm referring to the depth from where it mounts to the back of the magnet).
Also, there were numerous wires running through there. I saw a bundle of three heavy, white wires, plus several other wires that probably run to the 12 volt lights/appliances.
