What Did You Get For Your B190 Today?
I saw this topic on the AIRfourms and thought it would be fun to ask here.
Today I got vacuum & transmission temperature gauges, along with a new driver side pillar to duplicate a mod that Kentuckian posted.

I have a upgraded converter and monitor from best converter.
Also have a new spare tire cover ordered on the way. Hopefully get the converter installed this weekend.

I got my B190 reservations for a couple nights of lakeside camping in a nearby State Park. <smile>

You have me thinking about the converter upgrade, as I have experienced some difficulty in charging the house battery from the AC.

Perfect fit for my 1996 B-190. No mods needed, removed door panel, splice new wires and use existing mounting holes. The old speakers were totally shut.

Re: What Did You Get For Your B190 Today?
I received a PD4635V 35 amp converter and a PD92201TV Remote Pendent Modified , from Best Converters. By all indications my house battery, 4 years old, is week and part of that problem may very well be the single phase converter, so I thought an upgrade was in order.
Unfortunately I ordered and paid for, a PD4655V 55 amp converter and Pendant. Don't know that I would need the 55 amp model, to new to this motorhome thing, but others have done it , the price difference was minimal and I am a firm believer is more is better. What should I do, call them, go threw the hassle of packaging it back up, send it out and wait till it gets their, they confirm and send another, correct one
, out to me, or put the 35 amp in, get a refund on the difference and call it good ? Please advise. Thanks

The absolute best advice would be to call Randy at best converter.

Re: What Did You Get For Your B190 Today?
Thanks, I planned on doing that was just wondering if the 55 amp was overkill and if I would be just fine w/the 35 amp and alleviate some hassle and down time waiting for the turn around to get the 55 amp.190-b-651 wrote:The absolute best advice would be to call Randy at best converter.

Re: What Did You Get For Your B190 Today?
I had the parallax 6300 originally. They do make a derect replacement for it its a 45 amp. Part # WF-8945 REP it comes with a new 12v fuse board inhalation is four wire of the converter itself and the fuse board is just swapping everything over as it was on the original.
I opted for the TryMetric 2025 battery monitor + meter to shunt cable and a 500 amp shunt.
Converter was around $200 & monitor and accessories was $210
The big difference is the charging the new changes voltage depending on batteries needs the old one was a single voltage which will kill a deep cycle batteries life. It didn't have a float/maintenance mode.
Probably why your deep cycle is toast.
