hi,
need help asap! the lp gas detector alarm keeps going off. if we push test it will go off for a little while. wondering how we will sleep with this alarm going all night? THANKS

First, make sure there is in fact not a propane leak.

Another possibility is that the detector has gone bad and shorted out, and this is its way of warning you of that.These would include paints, solvents, hair spray and fuels to name a few. False alarms can be minimized by keeping these substances away from your detector. For instance, if you enjoy painting your favourite wilderness scenic in oils, don't clean your brushes in the kitchen sink, where turpentine vapors could trigger a false alarm.
