Newbie in Chicago... but not for long.

Post by Travelisaverb »

Hello I'm Vanessa, and a brand new member here on the forum. I purchases my 190 on April 9th, and am already loading her up for my 2014 Badventure. And I'm still trying to decide on name. I have it narrowed down to either "Uncle Rico" or "Lafonda Dynamite" after my favorite movie. No need to post photos myself... as I purchased "him/her" from one of your previous members, Alan. http://b190.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=1449.

I'm an avid world traveler, with 46 country stamps in my passport. I work in graphic design with a focus on web development for advertising and marketing agencies. About 6 months ago, I left my job and went down to Chile to start try my hand at entrepreneurship, and hatched a plan to travel around the US in 2014 working on developing my own remote business. I'm 100% new to the whole world of RVing, but have been inspired by a few intrepid solo female digital nomads/bloggers who run businesses out of RVs.. and so my own adventure begins now that I finally have a rig.

I'm planning over 12000 miles of road travel this year (some in my car, some in my 190) Chicago>Austin>MarylandCoast>Missouri>PortlandOR>SanFrancisco>BurningMan(NevadaDesert)>Colorado> and beyond are the planned route highlights. When I get my blog up and running, I will post it.

Good Luck with your travels!

Most rigs have a few maintenance issues to take care of the first year or two you own them. Mine sure did! Don't get discouraged, it will be well worth it. This forum has some great people that have experienced everything and anything that can possibly go wrong with your Bvan. Use their experience!

Good Luck! Rick
