Hello everyone. I recently purchased this 1991 B190 for a long term project to eventually turn into a somewhat off-road capable camper rig. It surprisingly ran great for an hour drive home, but I will be doing a full engine rebuild as well as restoring pretty much every part on this camper. It is in rough shape but most things will be removed/ redesigned.
I am capable of doing near all of my own work and have built many things in my day. My last rig was a 1987 Toyota Escaper motorhome. I did a full rebuild on that and traveled the country in it doing about 11,000 miles in 3 months.
I chose the B190 for a second build after missing my Toyota but also wanting more power and something with a bit more presence to it. I no longer have the Toyota but I definitely miss it! This forum doesn't look very active but I will be posting my builds and repairs as I go along on this rig.
I will be prepping it for paint next week, as well as resealing all the windows and installed a slight lift (around 2") to clear slightly bigger tires.
You can see some of my build from the Toyota here...http://daysofexploration.blogspot.com
Anthony
And here is the 91 I just purchased...

Welcome to the site.
I for one, will be watching your rebuild with interest. I am renovating my '94, slowly but surely!
There is a ton of useful information in this forum. Good Luck!, Rick

I definitely agree! I have been reading through almost every post just to get familiar with these cool rigs and peoples different takes on renovations and repairs.Tucsonan wrote:Welcome to the site.

Welcome. There's some good info here about others who have done 4x4 conversions as well as the basic suspension upgrades. Good luck and looking forward to your posts.

Yeah I have read up on all the 4x4 conversions. I was considering doing a conversion but decided I'd rather hold onto the little MPGs I have and not make it worse than it already is. I figure I can accomplish what I want with some more aggressive tires, a bit more ground clearance, and possibly a locker in the rear.lido14co wrote:Welcome.
