Hi all,

I just got a 1996 with 116k miles and it is wonderful! i'm having the salt sea air power washed off and the bottom sealed while it is in getting a rear stabilizer (it wasn't there!) and lost a hubcap on the way home so need help finding one. Also want to know about hooking up solar for boondocking (?) and traveling to Mexico so would love to hear from members. Anyway, it's great to be here. I will have many questions, I'm sure ... looking forward to taking time off on the road!! Thanks for the site. Kitty ;-)

Hello Kitty,
Congratulations on your 'new' '96 and welcome to B190.com!

Welcome!

The camper is pre-wired for solar power - if you look in my pictures in the Gallery, there is one of the box that has the end of the wire. Problem is, I don't know where the other end of that wire is. In mine, there was an extra red wire capped off in the fuse box which MAY be the other end. It's probably only a 12 or 14 gauge wire, so if you're planning on putting on a lot of solar panels, you may need to run new, heavier gauge wire.

Hello Kitty,

Lightning strikes twice. My wife and I purchased a 1993 in Pie Town last weekend. Less than 77k miles on the unit.

She's a little rough inside, and most items need some TLC, but she runs like a dream.
Maybe we can meet for coffee or tea and compare notes on mechanics, etc.

We live out Hwy. 285 South.

Cheers.

Hi Kitty,

I'm traveling for a year in my 97 B190 and am currently visiting family in Boulder CO. Will be in Santa Fe area around jan. 20 on my way south. My van has been wonderful with no problems at all for the first 5 months of my trip. I've had other types of rv's and the B190 is the best!

Please contact me as I head south if you would like to get together to talk about our vans.

Diane
