What material is the surround above the shower (the corner pieces) - is that plastic?
Would like to paint it a nice clean shiny white... anyone try this yet? What did you use?

If you determine it's plastic then Krylon Fusion paint will likely work. I recently saw an entire shower (in an Airstream) that was painted with Krylon Fusion and it looked great! The owner had done the same thing to their previous Airstream and they were very happy with the results. By the way... this was a family of 10 (parents, MIL, and 7 children) so the shower is subjected to plenty of use.

The Airstream owner said it's all in the prep - the plastic must be very clean and very dry.

I just picked up a can of Krylon Fusion to try out, so that's wonderful news!

Ok. Clean and prep and prep and clean. This will be interesting!

Follow up on this:

I tried the Krylon part on an area of the shower surround. Was not impressed!
I've seen other pics from people that used epoxy paint, and that looked great, but would have been a difficult process for me, as I don't have the prep space to pull it off.
I opted to not re-use the original shower plastics and instead redid the bathroom using white Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic sheeting. About $30 for a 4x8 sheet at Home Depot, and fairly easy to work with. Very happy with the end result!
