New owner of a 94 (purchased 2 weeks ago). Looking for suggestions on outside storage in Southeast Michigan (next to house on gravel driveway). Do you use a cover, keep plugged in (I have adaptor to plug into outside on 15 amp outlet)? Any other suggestions? Thank You!

I have a tarp on mine, but that's mostly because the upper windows and fan are currently removed. A cover seems like a good idea to me, make those seals last as long as possible.

I keep mine plugged in, but I have replaced the converter with a 3 stage model that doesn't cook the battery. The original converter, if yours still has it, will cook batteries quickly if you leave it plugged in. You really have to watch them. (If you have the original converter, I'd suggest upgrading to a modern one even if it's still working.)

You could also pull the battery and keep it inside your house, possibly on a trickle charger or just charge it regularly. BE CAREFUL about doing this if you have a wet-cell battery, though. AGMs are safe to keep indoor; wet cell batteries can offgas while charging and you don't want that in your house.

Thanks Skater-

Still debating on cover (high wind area), do you have model number of your converter?
I'm hoping to upgrade to solar and lithium in next year or two. I have seen issues online with keeping rig plugged in with original converter. PO did mount a trickle charger for engine battery and shut off for coach battery.

The one in my B190 is a Progress Dynamics 9260. But, if you're planning to go lithium at some point, look at the Boondocker line - we have one of those in our trailer that can handle AGMs or lithium batteries.

You store where you can.
