Simplify your search by just looking for a stabilizer for either a E250 or E350 Ford van for the year of your van

Brenda...I see your B190 is a 1993 (put that in your Profile, please)....try this, into Google type the following: steering stabilized E350

you'll see a number of results... pick a good brand

Rancho is a particularly good product...looking at their site its complicated to locate the one for an E250 or E350....ya might be able to email them for assistance or recommendations

Let us know what ya come up with, please..

The one on my 1997 is a Safe T Plus and required an additional Safe T Plus bracket 96-1321 (1997-1998-1999) where it attaches to the chassis....they aren't cheap but they are much larger than the others I've seen...

ppl shows the Part Number as E35092K and the bracket number (prior to 1997) 96-1306 (picture 2 below)

" A Safe-T-Plus Steering Stabilizer is a self contained, double acting hydraulic cylinder designed to absorb the full impact of a front tire blowout. Safe-T-Plus maintains straight ahead steering and controls rapid and unnecessary or unexpected steering movements resulting from external forces such as blowouts, potholes, side winds, dropping off pavement into a soft shoulder material, road ruts, curbing, etc."

It was purchased and installed at Camping World...

The solid mounting is on the drivers side of the vehicle with this application..

Their website, CLICK here----> http://www.safe-t-plus.com/

Their site shows the number as E35092K13...KIT...for the 1992 thru 1999 E350

Click here, scan down and increase to 100% (size)----> http://www.safe-t-plus.com/ChassisGuide.pdf

Below shows the optional bracket...fits under the sway bar mount...

And... where it attaches to the steering rod.

Having now put nearly 40 thousand miles on her B190, prior to heading to Alaska for the summer she had this steering stabilizer installed and she says it makes a huge difference...

On the invoice is only says Stabilizer Kit SA1930 $91.35....we'll attempt to get some clarification as to the brand next week....appears to be an automotive type oil-filled shock

This unit was purchased at Car Quest...its made by Monroe Kit #SA 1930 thru 1996...after 1996 is #SC2955

This particular application has the solid mounting on the passenger side of the vehicle

Just got a price quote on the Safe-T-Plus Steering Stabilizer shock and install kit alone costs $472 and $65. I'm guessing labor is gonna be at least a couple hundred more. I hope this thing is worth it!

Just got the Safe-T-Stabilizer and bracket installed. Parts were about 570 total and labor was about 170. I drove about 5 hours this weekend.

In my mind, totally worth it. If not for piece of mind if you get a blow out. It also helps with crosswinds and big pot holes.
