1997-2000 Airstream B190 dining table

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We just purchased our 3rd B190. This one is a 1999. The last one we had was about 5 years ago. It is in near perfect condition throughout but unusually enough, the dining table is missing. Although we rarely used it in our other two, I'd like to have it so everything is complete. Is there someone out there with the above year models that would be willing to take measurements and photos so I could duplicate one? This is the style that fits in the slender compartment under the sofa. The double galley doors in front of the sofa open and it fits on those with a bracket of some sort. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! I have the original owners info but can't locate a phone number for him on the net to see if he still has it.

Thanks, Geven

SG.....

First off the 1997 is quite different from the 1999.

The 1997 is T-shaped and uses the metal round rod assembly to hold up the outer edge, but you can walk by it when its set up. This table sets on top of the arm rest when its folded down at the opposite side from the metal round rod assembly.

The table in a 1999 is rectangular at 41" x 17.5". It sets on top of 2 opened cupboard doors across from the couch....and you can't walk by it when its set up, crappy idea from Airstream

Under the table are 2 wood pieces 11"x 2"x 1 3/8"....these pieces have groves machined into them 1 1/8" deep and 1" wide and these groves have a material like felt in them, these groves fit over the opened doors....

It sits on the doors?! 8O 8O

WOW!

It's clever, I'll give it that - but I'd worry about tearing the screws in the hinges right out of the cabinetry...

Alaskan,

Thanks for the very detailed photos, I should be able to build something from that with no problem. Sorry for the long delay in responding, i just got around to signing in and checking this thing today.

Thanks also LV2roam. I'm not sure where the old site is but I'll check around when i have more time.

Alaskan, Please email directly when you have a chance. I wanted to ask you some '99 specific questions...no hurry. Geven.Aston@att.com

Thanks, Geven
