For Sale - 1991 Airstream B190 with 460 engine (122,800 miles)

We're selling the B190, since we've replaced it with a larger Airstream travel trailer. This camper has served us well and mechanically is in excellent condition. It will get you there, work when you get there, and get you back home again.

If you're not familiar with the B190, it's an easy-to-drive camper. It's the length and width of a standard extended van (19'), so it will fit in standard parking spots.

Original features:
  • Queen bed over the cab. Actually it's a bit wider than a standard queen, but queen sheets fit fine.
  • Couch folds to a bed.
  • Includes 4 burner range, oven, microwave, refrigerator, A/C (with heat strip), Fantastic Fan, furnace, water pump, toilet, and separate shower.
  • Has a 22 gallon fresh water tank, and gray and black water tanks (9 gallons each, I think - the manual is not clear). Fully self-contained.
  • Full set of manuals, which includes all appliance manuals.
  • 30 amp shore power connection.
  • Cruise control, 460 engine that gets over 10 MPG with careful driving, power windows, and power locks.
  • Awnings on both sides of the camper.
Upgrades and notes:
  • Transmission and generator were both replaced in 2006. When the transmission was replaced, I had the shop install a transmission temperature gauge and a drain plug to make changing the fluid easier. The new transmission is from Jasper; the new generator is an Onan Microlite 2800.
  • All camper appliances with the exception of the furnace work perfectly.
  • Front tires are one year old.
  • 3 stage converter installed in 2008 - you can leave the camper plugged in all the time, and it will NOT cook your battery. At the same time, I installed an Optima Blue Top deep cycle battery, which is still very strong. The converter is a Progress Dynamics Intelli-Power 9200 series with the Charge Wizard. This converter is far larger than the B190 really needs, which means it rarely needs to run its cooling fan and is usually silent.
  • We just had new valves installed on propane tank, so that should give you years of trouble-free service.
  • Pioneer head unit, Sirius tuner, and auxiliary input. These are wired to the coach power, so you can easily use them while camping, without needing your keys or running down the engine battery. You can play an iPod, DVD player, laptop, or anything else with RCA or 1/8" mini jack through the camper's stereo speakers. The head unit plays MP3 discs as well. Two 5x7 Pioneer speakers are installed in the back of the camper (front speakers are stock Ford).
  • Tekonsha Prodigy brake controller installed.
  • Vinyl tile floor installed in coach area.
  • Both dump valves replaced in 2008.
  • Shocks were replaced in 2009.
Issues:
  • Furnace generally works but sometimes fails to light. We may have fixed this with the recent work to the propane tank, but I haven't tested it. In any case, an electric heater does a pretty good job of keeping the camper warm on cold winter nights.
  • The couch and captains chairs really need to be reupholstered - the fabric is shot.
  • There is some rust next to the generator panel and along the sliding window on the driver's side.
  • Rear tires are 3 or 4 years old and showing some cracks.
  • Engine air conditioning does not work - compressor is going bad, some lines are leaking, and the condenser has leaks. (I always ran the generator and overhead A/C on the road anyway.)
  • The main awning once collapsed during a rain storm. The mechanics have been repaired, but the fabric has two tears in it, each about 2 inches in length.
  • Before I purchased the van, the passenger front door was repaired using Bondo, and that is now pulling away from the door panel.
  • The fuel gauges do not work.
We acknowledge this camper isn't perfect, and we've priced it accordingly. Asking $7500. Please contact me at [redacted]. Thanks for looking!

Yeah. We worked out a deal with the high bidder. I'm sorry to see it go, but I'm glad it's getting out of our driveway. I'll try to get the new owners to join us here. :)
