screwing into the roof-anyone experienced?

Has anyone had success screwing into the fiberglass? Is there plywood under the glass? How far in can we go? Do we need rubber sleeves on the screws? Drilling first makes sense to me to avoid cracking the gel coat, but I want strength to avoid the panel ripping off and causing an accident underway. Any suggestions much appreciated--go b190.com.
