Neutral Safety Switch?

Has anyone experienced this with the 92-95 era vans?
Vehicle will not start in Park, but starts if your put it in neutral.
Checked the following:
-Starter is new
-Wires are all new and clean to battery and starter.
-Battery is new and charged fully.
I think its the neutral safety switch, Not sure if this is a project I should take on myself or give to my mechanic.
