Eagle,
The frame of the couch in my '93 is bolted to the lower cabinet by bolts roughly in each corner of the frame. You can rock the couch forward a little and then lift the front of the couch to access the four bolts from under the couch.

Ref. Replacement seats with belts attached: be advised that seatbelts are engineered as a system. The load path through the new seats to old adjusters and floor pan may exceed the strength of those parts.

What is a good estimate to re-upholster the couch/bed? I also want to remove the fold out drinks/snacks table since I never use it and it make the bed uncomfortable.

Re: Furniture replacement vs. re-upholstery
It was pretty easy on my '94. It was just 4 bolts if I remember correctly. The back one are easily accessed by removing the drawer and reaching from inside. For the front two, I just reached into the gap between the bed and box. The box underneath is just screwed down in several places with wood screws.Eagle wrote:Does anyone have any idea on how to remove the existing couch? I recommend having the original frame reupholstered with new padding. It's difficult to find a match to fit exactly in our small vans. I replace mine with a dinette, which was also very difficult to fit in that small space!

Does anyone know where to find the couch/bed frame? I need a lower section since when I get it reupholstered I want to eliminate the fold out snack table.

Your upholsterer should be able to construct a new frame. Hang on to that fold down piece, though, if you do remove it.

The fold down section looks like it can be "fixed" into place easy enough, ...if not, I have a Frame in Southern AZ.Mark wrote:Does anyone know where to find the couch/bed frame? I need a lower section since when I get it reupholstered I want to eliminate the fold out snack table.

BUMP! Couch will be the first thing to go when I start working on mine (1995). Has anyone taking it out, and how? Thanks.Eagle wrote:Does anyone have any idea on how to remove the existing couch? Mine has seen better days and I would like to replace it.

I think they just have four bolts into the wood frame below. Much easier than you'd think.LaPlaya wrote:BUMP! Couch will be the first thing to go when I start working on mine (1995).
