Re: New to Me 1993 B190

That's awesome!!!! I've been trying to find a way to cover those windows - that makes a lot of sense. It would block the sun, but still allow airflow. I'm gonna work with that idea... how to attach... hmmmm...

Re: New to Me 1993 B190

I agree with Skater. Of course, I'm down here in Florida... But I've found it very difficult to keep it cool if you're in the sun - even with the AC sometimes. One thing I've found that helps is keeping the sun off the windows. Once the glass gets hot, it radiates the heat into the van. Reflective b...

Re: Inition coil

I did plugs, cap, rotor myself a few years back. Then I read about the ignition coil. Every time Ive had the doghouse off, I forget to look into it! If you're still working on this, could you post a pic or two?!?!

Re: cut off in gas line to generaator

I did one on the gas line inside the gen compartment. Shut that off, the gen runs for another 2-3 mins.

Re: Overhead Cab Length

I have a '90 with the long overhead bed. I think it was shortened to reduce wind resistance - which I'd imagine would help! Ooph!! Having just recently seen the inside of a newer model, i think the bed lengths are the same, just the frame was redesigned on the newer models to work around the cabinet...

The Sagging Roof

Mine is a 1990. Almost thirty years of supporting that AC. When I bought it, I noticed the roof was sagging a bit - the nose of the AC leaning forward and water pooling in front of the unit where the depression was - and when I painted the roof, I knew eventually I'd have to deal with it... eventual...

AC condensation leaking on passenger floor

Ok! I've got water on my passenger floor. This is a 1990 unit with the 460. After MUCH trial and error, and a new windshield (one leak fixed!), I've narrowed it down to water in the heater box from the AC unit. What I cant find is how the condensation is supposed to drain out. Has anyone on here got...

How to fix leaking front windshield?!?

I have a leak in my windshield - confirmed with soapy water on the rim and air blown from inside (BUBBLES!) I've called autoglass places about a reseal or leak repair, and am having no luck. The one place that offered anything said the glass was too old to guarantee it would reseal properly and sugg...

Re: Power window now working

If your motor is working, but grinding, you need new gears, not a motor! I did this for my driver side window. Here's one of many videos on this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYKha5LhohE The video recommends replacing the nylon gears with steel washers - I replaced with nylon pieces you can get ...

Re: Generator Electrical diagram?

I will throw in there - I have the RevA model of the gennie - I've disconnected the battery while it was running, and it continued to run. So, at least on this version, 12V is not required to run - only to start
