Opening week of abalone season in northern California my favorite spot recently was perched by a retired neurosurgeon from San Francisco. This was a little shocking to see but at the same time a blessing its been going down hill for years. She has the dream hopefully she can save it and bring it back to what it once was two thumbs up for Gabriella the hippie Dr.

Its up the river about 1/4 mile from the beach out of the wind.
Goggle earth doesn't show the teepee its a recent addition.
The campgrounds is at the top right of the map next to the river end of the road north side.
